Turning Power Charger Utilizes Kinetic Energy To Gain Its Power

The world has undergone a lot of technological changes with an array of portable electronic gadgets purchased over the globe. The only drawback of using electronic devices is that of the utility bills. To cope up such a situation, industrial designers have begun creating eco-friendly products to help devices operate with renewable energy. Cindy Karimun, an industrial designer has come up with a new eco-friendly product, Turning Power Charger, a device that uses kinetic energy to get its power.
This concept charger, resembling the shape of a water drop, is based on the theory of electromagnetic induction. All we have to do is just to keep turning the charger until the inside spring is tightened and released. Through the friction of this turning motion, all energy generated during the process is stored in a built-in battery, which can later be transferred to your portable devices through USB port. “Turning Power Charger” also includes 3 LED bulbs that light up to notify the user about the charging condition, and automatically off after fully charged.

VOLTure Watch Design

VOLTure is a conceptual LED watch designed by Maciej Mandrysz for TokyoFlash. As youprobably know, TokyoFlash is one of the leaders in LED watch market. This watch design was inspired by the look of voltmeter. It displays the hours with the dial 3,5,7, and 9 in the center and additional +1, +2 at the left bottom corner. Minutes are displayed by small digital display at the right bottom corner. It looks pretty cool design, I wonder if TokyoFlash plan to send this watch design into production.

Metrotopia : 2 Seater Electric Vehicle For Future Urban Spaces

Our future urban environment will be very crowded that we need to design small and compact transportation for our future needs. Simon Colabufalo, an Australian industrial designer, has designed Metrotopia, a 2 seater electric vehicle that runs only on one rotating wheel for great maneuverability in tight urban spaces. Since Melbourne boasts the largest tram network in the world, Simon has designed this vehicle to recharge automatically while docked inside its tram. The electric motor and power cell are housed inside the ball for a lower center of gravity and superior handling

Flo2W : An Innovative Way In Regulating Oxygen Flow To The Patient

Being in the hospital taking car his dad, James D’Arcy found out there were so many issues with the current respiratory masks. The poorly attach flimsy strap kept loosening and causing pain above the ear, the top of the mask was causing pain in the bridge of the nose and led to skin sores developing in this area. Based on this observation, Flo2w has been designed as a newmedical device to deliver oxygen to a patient. It is fitted on the patient’s head using the adjustable headpiece that doesn’t need to be disposed on weekly basis. Instead, the hospital can clean it using alcohol and reused it for other patient, reducing clinical waste. The tube carrying the oxygen can be easily clipped on and off.

Flo2w design eliminates the big and intimidating one size fits all mask that is currently being used. The subtle design makes the user feel as if they are not even wearing it. There are sculpted nose buds that fit snug into the patient’s nose for comfortable feeling. Oxygen is supplied to the patient through nasal tubing. Flo2w integrates an innovative and easy way of regulating oxygen flow for both the patient and the health care professional.
